Hey everyone, in case you haven't noticed we haven't released anything in terms of content in over a year. We're not dead, and we haven't abandoned our ambitions to break into the film industry, we're still working, and Project Forest looks like it will become a reality soon. However, we have been taking time to really asses where we are as a team.
We're all poor students, and we don't have the means to hire actors, create elaborate sets, or have any kinds of decent special effects. Our resources are pretty much restricted to what we own and the acting abilities of ourselves and our friends (which, at least for us, are less than impressive). We have a lot of, in our views, really great ideas, but they are currently too ambitious for what we can realistically pull off and we don't want to waste a good idea on a half-baked project. So for now, we are mostly focusing on writing and creating story concepts. Fortunately though, Project Forest looks like something we will be able to do and we promise to release a big update on that sometime soon.
In other news, we have also decided to broaden our horizons a bit and start writing for mediums outside of film. We have recently become very passionate about video games and think there's an amazing amount of untapped potential in that medium which we would like to get in on.
Stay tuned for more updates.

Take a Stand Against Censorship!
Hey, we're still working on Project Forest as well as a few other things (more details later) but I wanted to take a moment to ask for support in standing against an attempt at censorship. This fall the United States Supreme Court will meet to determine the outcome of the Schwarzenegger vs. EMA case, and if they decide in favor of Schwarzenegger, video games, and entertainment media in general could be in serious risk of government censorship.

Project Forest
Last time I told you guys about an idea we were cooking up, and now that we're getting ready to enter the script writing stage so I thought I'd share a few details about what you can expect. Unfortunately I can't reveal any plot details just yet, but I'll give you at least a sense of the tone we're going for.
The original idea I pitched to Kaei was to create a classical-Hitchcokian type horror film, it seemed like something that would be doable with our budget and we were also encouraged by other low-budget, independent horror films that have gone on to achieve notable success. Now that we've been working through the development of the story we're realizing that it's transforming more into a psychological thriller with horror elements; it'll still [hopefully] be scary, but won't exactly be a straight horror film.
Unfortunately I can't reveal much more than that right now, we've got most of the concept pretty well worked out and I expect we'll start writing the screenplay within a few weeks.

Blue Skies at Midnight
We had a creative meeting tonight with part of the Why Is? team and we knocked around a bunch of ideas to try to come up with something that we can move forward with. We're excited to say that we've come up with an idea that we really think will be something cool, it's also something that I can see us pulling off with the financial and time limitations we have currently.
The concept is still really rough and we aren't even close to getting a screenplay yet, but hopefully once we get input from the rest of the team we'll get to start writing soon. I'll keep you posted.
